Storyloom turns fleeting moments into keepsake films and storybooks.

It’s about savoring the ephemeral forever. But also about experiencing our lives differently in the present.

Storyloom is about slowing down, honoring, and reveling in our lives now.

the building blocks

All Storyloom projects are built upon the following building blocks:

1)) A storytelling photography session;

2) One or several audio interviews; and

3) (Sometimes) photographs you already have

Using my storytelling magic, I gather then weave these elements into short films and fine art books that become treasures.

While I’m often commissioned to create these project around important milestones in people’s lives - marriage, pregnancy, anniversaries, retrospectives, etc. - they are equally as powerful in honoring the milestone that is our day to day existence. Many families find them so valuable that they’ve made them a regular part of their lives, creating a new Storyloom chapter each year of their lives.

Years later, Julie’s stories are some of my most precious gifts ever in life. We will treasure them as a family for decades, even centuries, to come. Julie helps people tell the stories of our lives. She helps us shape who we are becoming. What an incredible gift.
— Sara C.
Julie, firstly let me say, you are a profoundly gifted soul. Your film has brought more smiles and more naches
(Yiddish for “pride”) to more souls than I/we can measure. To hear our girls’ voices, to see the stunning images you
captured, makes a mommy and a daddy stop for a minute to say ‘Look at what we’ve built.’ You have given us a
gift that is truly priceless. I/we will revisit it through the years and look forward to capturing more of the story
through the years. From the bottom of my/our hearts, I want to say thank you. Really, thank you.
— Michael L.
