Lauren and Dane's wedding Saturday was simply amazing. On the light-lush lawn of the Vineyard House, amidst acres of oaks and rolling vineyards, Lauren and Dane brought together friends and family from their home in Texas and beyond for an elegant fete that sparkled blue and gold. The Vineyard House and the surrounding area have a rich and storied past; one strand involves a chance meeting between the family that owns it and Lauren's family many, many years ago in Texas. Lauren visited the area many times growing up, and thought it would be amazing to get married there. And, of course, it was. Lauren and her bridesmaids giggled in the warm sun before getting ready in the quaint cottage. Then Lauren and Dane read love letters from one another without looking at each other. Out on the lawn, the day shimmered with royal blue sequin tablecloths, delicate white orchids, and sparkling chandeliers, beautifully orchestrated by Cole Drake Events. For the ceremony, the wedding party emerged to walk down the aisle from a sprawling fig tree in the center of the property; Dane teared up when he saw his beautiful bride. The two said their vows beneath an ancient oak tree, then everyone laughed, cried, sang, and danced late into the night.
